Hudson Valley based artist, Meadow, continues to work in her studio redefining and refining intimacy and emotional relationships between herself, her materials, and her visual language. She strives to remain vulnerable and experimental while including a graceful marriage of symbolic and ancient references.

Meadow received an MFA degree in Ceramics and Design from George Washington University and an MFA degree in Sculpture and Jewelry from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. She acquired her undergraduate degree in Ceramics from The Massachusetts College of Art in Boston.

Meadow’s international exhibition history is long and distinguished. Her art can be found in numerous private and public collections including; Smithsonian Institute, and Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, DC, the Science Museum, San Francisco, and DiRosa Collection, in Napa, CA.

In addition to her art, Meadow has been a founder and developer of communities and education in the art world for over fifty years. Working as a college professor and curator gave Meadow the professional proficiencies that lead to her successful work as Founder and Director of Artplace in NY. Founded in SoHo in 1983 and expanding to NoHo in 1994, Artplace was a well-known artist community providing 26,000 square feet of workspace to over 75 artist tenants, which Meadow ran for thirteen years until its closing in 1997.

Today, Meadow is the current Founder and Director of “The Great American Sculpture Park,” a large outdoor curated sculpture show that features the work of 10-13 women artists. In April 2012 her work was featured in “Energy Revisited” at SUNY Orange County Community College in Newburgh, NY and in the March show at the Mid-Hudson Heritage Museum in Poughkeepsie honoring Women’s History Month.
